Construction work on key projects in the Jiuyuan district of Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has begun according to a June 19 report in the Baotou Daily.
The district has given the green light to a total of 26 key projects in the current year, with a total investment of 15.9 billion yuan ($2.3 billion).
As of end-April, the accumulated investments in fixed assets had hit 560 million yuan. Construction work on 18 projects was restarted -- covering areas including new graphite materials, new polymer materials, new chemical materials and rare earth materials.
