An additional three high-speed railway routes are proposed to run through Zhuhai in a recently released draft of the Guangzhou Master Plan for Land Space (2018-35).

The 200-km (124-miles) Guangzhou-Zhongshan-Zhuhai-Macao High-Speed Rail Line will start from Guangzhou North Railway Station and pass through Yuzhu, Nansha, Zhongshan, Sanxiang, and Tanzhou before reaching a proposed Zhuhai Hezhou Hub Station.

Its main line will run to Hengqin New Area via Guangzhou East Railway Station, while a tributary line will extend to Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. Pazhou will also be engaged by a link-up line.

This will allow Zhuhai, Macao, and Zhongshan residents to access Guangzhou directly, propelling balanced development between the west and east banks of the Pearl River. Meanwhile, Hong Kong, Macao, and downtown Shenzhen will be reachable from Guangzhou city center within an hour.

Spanning 210 km (130 miles), the Guangzhou-Jiangmen-Zhuhai-Macao (former Macao-Zhuhai-Jiangmen) High-Speed Rail Line will run from Guangzhou Railway Station and access Jiangmen via Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway. It will run through the Zhuhai Hezhou Hub Station and terminate at the Hengqin Checkpoint where it will connect to the Macao Light Rail Transit.

The Shenzhen-Zhuhai High-Speed Railway (former Shenzhen-Zhuhai Intercity Railway) will depart from Shenzhen Xili, heading westward to Zhuhai North Station in Tangjiawan across Lingding Channel. The 80-km (50-mile) rail route will merge into the Guangzhou-Jiangmen-Zhuhai-Macao High-Speed Railway via the Hezhou Hub Station southwest of Zhuhai Bridge.

When the lines are operable, Zhuhai will be connected to the national high-speed railway network in three directions: Ganzhou-Shenzhen, Shenzhen-Shantou, and Xiamen-Shenzhen in the east; Beijing-Guangzhou in the north; and Shenzhen-Maoming, Guangzhou-Zhanjiang, Shenzhen-Nanning, Guiyang-Guangzhou, and Nanning-Guangzhou in the west.
