Southwest China's Guizhou province will open two railway lines to Hong Kong starting from July 10, and the total number of railways from the Chinese mainland to Hong Kong will increase to 58, according to the China Railway Group.
Zunyi and Guiyang East railway stations in Guizhou will be the two places for the new railway lines, according to the upcoming railway arrangement plan released by the group.
In addition, another 39 pairs of passenger trains, including new Fuxing high-speed trains, will be added to provide high quality services for the increasing number of passengers.
It is expected that the new arrangement will improve the railway transportation ability to handle the growing capacity by providing 260,000 seats during the summer peak period.
