The 2019 Colorful Guizhou Tourism and Culture Week is being held at the China Cultural Center of Sydney, Australia from June 18 to 27, arousing visitors' interest in Guizhou's sceneries, intangible cultural heritages, ethnic groups' culture, liquors, and tea.
The activity is held in the form of an exhibition showcasing Guizhou's famous scenic spots such as Wanfenglin in Xinyi, Huangguoshu Waterfall in Anshun, and Jiaxiu Tower in Guiyang, which allow the visitors to learn more about Guizhou's natural sceneries, folk customs, and tourism resources.
Yang Zhi, minister counselor for culture for the Chinese embassy in Australia, was invited to the activity and was impressed by Guizhou's development in the tourism industry. He expressed his wishes to help Guizhou to promote its tourism resources in Australia.
In addition to the exhibition, inheritors of intangible cultural heritages form Guizhou demonstrated the production process of the traditional handicrafts. Visitors can enjoy Guizhou's liquor and tea while admiring the intangible cultural heritage performances.
The activity is part of the 2019 China Tourism Culture Week, which is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It is taking place in 34 China Culture Centers and 19 China National Tourist Offices around the world from May to June.
