According to a press conference held on June 18, the China (Guangxi) Agriculture Silk Road Journey & Promotion Festival will be held in Malaysia in late June to promote bilateral agricultural exchanges and cooperation, as well as to enhance Guangxi's agricultural international reputation and comprehensive competitiveness.

The event is co-sponsored by the Department of Agricultural and Rural Affairs of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Wuzhou municipal government. It is co-organized by the Guangxi General Association of Malaysia, the Tea Trade Association of Malaysia, and the China-ASEAN (Malaysia) Entrepreneur Association.

With the theme of sharing, integration, and mutually benefits, the event will highlight its functions of display and promotion of agriculture in three parts: the Guangxi-Malaysia Agricultural Investment and Trade Conference, the Wuzhou Liupu Tea Promotion Conference, and the Guangxi Quality Tea Industry Exhibition.

The Guangxi-Malaysia Agricultural Investment and Trade Conference will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center on June 26. It will introduce a number of agricultural cooperation projects, such as Liupu tea, agricultural products and food processing, Mohanguo modern industrial park, jasmine processing, as well as the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park. The conference will promote the signing of a batch of contracts of Malaysian agricultural investment projects, involving rice, aquatic products, and tea storage.

The Guangxi Quality Tea Industry Exhibition will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center during the 20th Malaysia International Food and Beverage Exhibition from June 26 to 28. More than 30 key agricultural tea enterprises in Guangxi will participate in the exhibition. They will display more than 80 kinds of Guangxi's high-quality tea, such as Liupu tea, black tea, green tea, jasmine tea, and white tea, combining tea performances with rich ethnic characteristics of Guangxi. The Wuzhou Liupu Tea Promotion Conference will also be held on the morning of June 27.

During the festival, the Guangxi agricultural delegation will attend a series of activities of the 20th Malaysia International Food Exhibition. It will also visit Malaysian agriculture-related departments, Chinese institutions in Malaysia, local enterprises, and business associations seeking cooperation in agricultural products trade, project investment, as well as food processing technology.
