China-Russia Sports Exchanges Week, as the platform to boost bilateral sports and culture exchanges, kicked off in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on June 15.
This year’s event is divided into two phases. The first phase includes 20 activities such as basketball, archery, martial arts and judo competitions, which was held in Harbin from June 15 to 17. A total of 31 Russian athletes attended the activities, competing skills and sharing experience.
While, the second phase of the event, namely the sixth China-Russia Sports Meeting, will move its host site to Suifenhe, a port city bordering Russia, in July.
Compared with its type of event held before, this year’s China-Russia Sports Exchanges Week highlights a "Chinese-style" wrestling championship, Russian Sangbo promotion activities, a Sino-Russian off-road vehicle competition and a car camping activity, which will be held for the first time.
