Guangxi holds 2019 foreign-invested enterprises symposium

The 2019 Guangxi Foreign-invested Enterprises Symposium was held by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Nanning on June 14.

Representatives of foreign-invested enterprises in commerce and trade circulation, electronic technology, the pharmaceutical industry, foods, and other areas from the United States, Thailand, Belgium, Hong Kong,etc., as well as leaders of the Guangxi Investment Promotion Bureau, the Guangxi Department of Commerce, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange Guangxi Branch, and relevant departments of Nanning attended the symposium.

At the symposium, leaders of six foreign enterprises described their development in Guangxi and made suggestions on how to increase intellectual property protection, improve preferential policies for enterprises, and strengthen protection of production factors. The government officials also made relevant policy interpretations.

The Guangxi government has formulated and issued a series of policy documents including 16 measures for stabilizing foreign capital and 20 incentives for investment promotion to optimize the business environment and expand industry investment. It has also implemented special assessments and incentives for the use of foreign capital.

Guangxi has designated June of this year maily serving for foreign-funded enterprises in the whole region. The Guangxi Investment Promotion Bureau and the Guangxi Department of Commerce have visited foreign-invested enterprises, and relevant departments at all levels in Guangxi have gone to more than 200 foreign-invested enterprises.

Yang Chunting, director of the Guangxi Investment Promotion Bureau, said at the symposium that foreign-invested enterprises in Guangxi are expected to further expand their investment and drive more upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to invest in Guangxi. He also hoped that enterprises identify propose problems that need to be solved by the government and work together to create a better development environment.

Next, Guangxi will strengthen services for foreign-invested enterprises. Efforts will be made to ensure policy dividends benefit more foreign companies to help them solve development problems and improve service modes.
