The 2019 Changchun Summer Relaxation Art Festival kicked off at Changchun World Sculpture Park in Changchun, capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province, on June 15.
The event was hosted by the organizing committee of the Changchun Summer Relaxation Art Festival, and organized by the Changchun culture, radio, television, and tourism bureau and others.
Officials including Dong Wei, vice-chairman of the China Federation of Literacy and Art Circles, Qi Yuanfang, chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Changchun Committee, and Jia Lina, vice-mayor of Changchun, attended the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony, which runs until June 23, will feature a raft of events at Changchun World Sculpture Park including traditional handicrafts and other art forms, food carnivals, dancing activities and music performances.
For the whole summer, Changchun will provide a total of 87 activities for visitors – among them are sports, nighttime activities, parent-children activities and traditional culture-related activities.
The Changchun Summer Relaxation Art Festival was a wild success when it first began in 2007, and to date it has received a total of 190 million visitors and achieving tourism revenue of 312.7 billion yuan ($45.17 billion).
