Xiamen in East China's Fujian province will bring together over 200 high-tech enterprises for the upcoming China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair (CSTPF) on June 18 in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian.
These enterprises are expected to launch new high-tech products which can improve people's well-being and spur local economic development.
Many eye-catching products, including polyurethane (PU) decorative wallboards, food waste processors and monitoring systems for septic tanks, will be on display at the fair.
The PU decorative wallboard, designed by Xiamen NEU Craft Co (NEU), resembles a cement-stone plate featuring environmental friendliness and energy conservation, as well as thermal and sound insulation.
The formaldehyde-free wallboard is so light that a child is capable of lifting it up, greatly reducing the building load, said an NEU staff member.
He added that these kinds of wallboards are widely used in other countries.
