The 2019 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival (Summer Race) returns to the Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) in Tangjiawan Town from June 15 to 16 with plenty of excitement in the air.
A white-hot competition is expected at the Circuit Hero-One, as the gap between teams narrowed after the separation of GTs from the race. According to new rules, vehicles of top-ranked drivers in Group A will be added weight. "This could be an extra pressure for the very best to fight more and a great opportunity for the in-betweens to turn the tide," says ZIC.
The same rules will be applied to the Circuit Hero-Three, pushing a tighter race between the teams already close in ranking points.
Tightly tailed
Meanwhile, the exit of favorites and below-par performance of Chen Bingxiong from Foshan's XJ Racing Tuning Club in the Spring Race due to vehicle breakdown might also make Circuit Hero-Two a cliffhanger.
The largest mystery of the Speed Hero lies in whether Li Zhengpeng from MLT YAMAHA can secure his top spot under the challenge of Shinjo Masahiro from Japan, who is newly joined but high-powered.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Pan Delta Super Racing Festival, and the Summer Race features its most events ever. On top are Asian Formula Renault, MINI Challenge Asia, Renault Clio Cup Asia and 2019 Ducati China Panigale Cup.
