A press conference was held in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 12 to announce that Ulaanqab, a city in the region, will hold the 8th China-Russian-Mongolian Food Culture Festival from July 20 to 30.
The Food Culture Festival will consist of a series of activities such as an exhibition of food from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, a World Potato Cooking Competition, an exhibition of Ulaanqab food, and the 4th World Sheep Cooking Competition.
Ulaanqab will also showcase its long history, culture, and unique regional customs and promote its local specialties. Representatives from the tourism industry and green food production enterprises will be invited to participate in promotional conferences and an investment fair to further promote the development of tourism.
Furthermore, renowned Chinese and foreign experts and experienced practitioners in the catering industry will be invited to give special reports and host discussions on the development of Ulaanqab's unique culinary ingredients, catering culture, and catering resources, the development and growth of the catering industrial chain, and innovative ways to develop and integrate industry so as to comprehensively develop and showcase the local catering culture.
