Hainan to build 40 rest stops along its roundabout tourism highway

The Guideline on Construction Technology of the Hainan Roundabout Tourism Highway has been released to the public after receiving approval of the Hainan Provincial People's Government, according to the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Hainan Province on June 11.

It noted that Hainan will build 40 rest stops along the highway, acting as comprehensive service facilities that will combine the functions of tourism service bases with distinctive tourism products and regional integration platforms.

The rest stops will suit local conditions and showcase Hainan's high industrialization level. Reflecting Hainan's natural environment, local ethnic culture, and island atmosphere, the stops will be green, smart, people-friendly, and low carbon.
