Shanxi province, as guest province of honor of the upcoming 2019 China International Fair for Investment and Trade, promoted itself at the CIFIT information release and business matchmaking symposium in Shanghai on June 5.
The event featured the dissemination of information, ideas sharing, marketing promotions, guest dialogues, and industrial business matching -- attracting more than 400 representatives from international companies, commercial associations and officials from South African, Belgian, Kazakh and the Portuguese Consulate General in Shanghai.
Officials said Shanxi will make full use of the international platform created by CIFIT and organize its local cities and development zones to participate in this year's event on Sept 8-11. They said the result would be that complete picture would be provided of the province's attractive investment environment, investment policy, achievements in economic transformation as well as helping more Shanxi enterprises and products go out into the world.
"We will promote key industries and carry out business matching during the fair and attract more Taiwan businesspeople and companies to invest in Shanxi, based on the rich Taiwan business resources brought by CIFIT," said Ai Lingyu, director of the Shanxi Investment Promotion Bureau.
Shanxi has been creating an international and convenient business environment, following prevailing international trade and investment rules, to boost market access.
The province also launched a 24-hour investment hotline on 96301, to provide investors with a Chinese and an English consultation service.
In addition, 64 local development zones at the provincial level and above have been improving their management systems and industrial layouts to ensure that all projects can be advanced smoothly, according to Zhang Xiaosheng, deputy director of the Shanxi Department of Commerce, who promoted Shanxi's business environment at the symposium.
