Business delegates pay a visit to Shenyang

A delegation of around 100 businessmen from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan paid a visit to Shenbei New Zone, a national-level economic and technological development zone in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on June 5.

The activity was organized by the united front work department of Shenyang municipal Party committee, in a bid to promote Shenyang’s improved business environment and attract investment from the above three regions.

The delegates visited several representative enterprises in the zone, such as Wellhope Agri-tech Joint Stock Co Ltd, one of the top 500 Chinese private enterprises, and the Shenyang refrigerator production line of Haier Group, a world leading home appliance manufacturer and service provider.

Shenbei New Zone is home to 122 high-tech enterprises, a cluster of Shenyang’s strategic emerging industries and national ecological and tourism demonstration areas.

The local government continues to make efforts to improve its business environment.

A batch of policies targeted at shortening administrative approval time and simplifying license procedures have been carried out since the beginning of this year.

Statistics reveal that the time for the approval of engineering construction projects has been reduced by 50 percent; 62 percent of project applications can be completed at an on-site single service counter; and 87 percent of the project applications could be processed online.
