Shanxi leg of the eighth China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition started registrations on June 4 with the deadline set at June 15.
The entries will be divided into a startup group whose members are companies registered after Jan 1, 2018 and a growing company group whose members are those who register between Jan 1, 2019 and Dec 31, 2017.
All applicants for the competition should have innovation ability and high potential for growth and be engaged in high tech research and development, manufacturing and service with intellectual property rights without disputes.
In addition, these applicants should be unlisted companies with good business practices and social reputation and business income in 2018 not exceeding 200 million yuan ($28.92 million).
The Shanxi leg of the national competition will consist of preliminaries, semi-finals and the final between July and August. The preliminaries will adopt the form of online evaluation and the semi-finals and the final will judge entries through on-site interview, presentation and Q&A.
