Ceramics industry hub improves profile at expo

Yangcheng county, a center for ceramics production in Shanxi province, played host to over 60 experts, exhibitors and dealers from more than 40 countries and regions attending the second Shanxi Yangcheng Ceramics Expo on June 1-3. 

Over 100 Chinese and international companies in the ceramics and colored glaze sectors exhibited their products at over 350 stands at the exhibition area, which covered 20,000 square meters. A series of forums and seminars themed around the county's development and the upgrading of the ceramics industry were held during the expo. 

Organizers said the expo aimed to develop an influential platform for the communication and spread of new technologies, products and trends in the ceramics and glaze industries and advance ceramics cultural communications and trade  around the world. 

Some 60 international companies forged partnerships with 40 businesses based in Yangcheng county -- in technology communications, recruitment, brand operations, business management, financing and product promotions -- at the expo.
