Zhanjiang opens express shipping route to Greater Bay Area

Sinotrans Ltd officially opened the Zhanjiang-Huangpu container direct shipping route on June 4. It is the second shipping route opened by Sinotrans Ltd in Zhanjiang Port, and the second new domestic trade route opened in Zhanjiang Port this year.

Through joint initiatives with Sinotrans, such as opening more shipping units, increasing investment in box sources, and expanding coverage areas, Zhanjiang Port has expanded the container shipping market in the Pearl River Delta region, promoting Zhanjiang enterprises to connect with the Pearl River Delta region.

The opening of the Zhanjiang-Huangpu route will further strengthen ties between Zhanjiang and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It will also strengthen the interconnection of ports between Zhanjiang and Guangzhou, optimizing the resource allocation of the two markets and developing the local economy of the two cities.
