Overseas PhD and post-doctoral fellows whose expertise fit the city's major industries will gather in Zhuhai from June 19 to 21 as candidates for cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Most of the 170 applicants, who are between 30 and 50 in age, are graduates of prestigious overseas universities. Each has years of experience in large-scale overseas enterprises or organizations.
A group of national industrial bellwethers will join the talks to help local enterprises break bottlenecks in key technologies and projects.
Meanwhile, 22 youth teams that stood out in the "Parafuturo de Macao" Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition will display projects in a roadshow, alongside high-quality projects incubated by the University of Macau.

Entrepreneurial projects of Macao and Hong Kong youths that settle in Zhuhai via the event may receive subsidies ranging from 150,000 ($21,700) to 1 million yuan ($144,700). Up to 5 million yuan ($723,520) can be granted to outstanding projects under the Supportive Methods for Entrepreneurial Projects of Young Talents released by the Municipal Human Resources & Social Security Bureau last December.
The event is organized by the Guangdong Talent Service Bureau, Zhuhai Talent Office, and Municipal Human Resources & Social Security Bureau. The Overseas Students & Experts Service Center of Ministry of Human Resources & Social Security, Human Resources & Social Security Department of Guangdong Province, and Zhuhai Municipal People's Government will provide guidance.
Talent events have increasingly expanded Zhuhai's pool of top minds. The city is now home to roughly 3,000 PhDs and 8,000 returned overseas scholars who contribute to local sci-tech innovation and Second Entrepreneurship Initiative.
