Kecheng district of Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province recently established its first women's social services organization named Zheyilan, local media reported.
Zheyilan is a nonprofit organization, offering services for dispute resolution, legal advice, legal aid, psychological counseling, among other daily services to women and disadvantaged groups.
The newly-established organization aims to grow into a platform for communications and resource sharing among government agencies, companies and other women's groups via online courses and centrally coordinated training.
Wang Juan, director of the women's and children's department of the Kecheng Women's Federation, said that they plan to establish more social organizations for women and offer more than 20 different free training classes for them -- in a bid to make women's organizations an important part of society.
