Tongfang launches server production line in N China

The Inner Mongolia branch of Tstinghua Tongfang Co Ltd -- a Tsinghua University-founded technology company -- held the inauguration ceremony for its new server production line at Horinger New Area in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on May 31.

Yun Guangzhong, Party secretary of Inner Mongolia; Feng Yuzhen, mayor of Hohhot; Zhou Liye, vice-chairman of Tsinghua Tongfang and other representatives from the company attended the ceremony.

As a strategic project constructed by Tsinghua Tongfang and the governments of Inner Mongolia and Horinger New Area, the production line helps the autonomous region fill a gap in producing core equipment for the manufacturing industry.

Covering an area of 4,000 square meters, the production facility is an area for  research and development, the testing and manufacturing of servers and innovative home-grown tech products.

The base plans to build an automatic production line, with designed daily output of 300 servers.
