Hu Changsheng, Party secretary of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province, led a trade delegation to Hong Kong from May 30 to 31.
Hu visited Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Chinese Importers' and Exporters' Association (HKCIEA), and Better Hong Kong Foundation, and organized a meeting with listed companies in the city during his two-day trip.
He thanked HKTDC for its support to the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) held in Xiamen every September and hopes HKTDC will help more Xiamen businesses expand into overseas markets in the future.
Hu introduced the development opportunities and business environment of Xiamen to the latter two organizations and invited them to promote Xiamen to their member companies.
Hu promised to offer a better development environment, high-level talents and considerate services during a meeting with directors of listed companies in Hong Kong.
The Party secretary also visited Kai Tak Cruise Terminal and Hong Kong Urban Planning Exhibition Hall to gain experience in cruise terminal management and city layout from Hong Kong.
