Raft of helpful community initiatives publicized

A joint action to promote community services and helpful measures for residents was carried out by the Heilongjiang Provincial Public Safety Bureau and the Harbin municipal public safety bureau in Harbin, capital of northeastern Heilongjiang province, on May 24.

Simpler procedures on applying for residency permits, passports, ID cards and car licenses -- as well talks on the tricks of the trade used in white-collar crime, information about tackling fraud and self-help skills -- were promoted with the general public via exhibition boards, publicity materials and posters.

On-site inquiry service counters were also set up to help residents solve problems.
