Southern part of Fenhe River scenic area to open in June

The third-phase of the project to enhance the Fenhe River scenic area in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, will open to the public in early June, according to the management committee of the facility. 

The third-phase project in southern Taiyuan, which started construction in August 2016, extends 12 kilometers and will when complete cost 3.19 billion yuan ($462.25 million). 

It will be a venue for the aquatic sports events for the 2nd National Youth Games in August, as well as being a tourist destination for locals to gather and exercise.
