Qian'an Mud Forest, a national nature reserve and national geological park, is located towards the west of Qian'an county, Songyuan city, 35 kilometers away from the urban area and neighboring Dabusu Lake in the west.
Qian'an Mud Forest National Geological Park looks imposing and is like a fortified castle, where as the mud forest is like saw-teeth and wolf teeth with rare peaks standing everywhere. Crenels stretch, and its shadow portrays an image of officers defending a city and preparing for a battle, with the shape seeming like wolf teeth, which is why the locals call it the "Wolf Teeth Dam". "Wolf Teeth Dam" is 50 meters higher than the lake's surface and is 15 km long from north to south, covering 58 sq km. In the scenic area, soil columns and mud forest connect one by one, and lie north to south, which is known as "stone forest in south and mud forest in north".
