Shanghai Exhibition Center (SEC)

Located in Jing'an district, Shanghai Exhibition Center (SEC) was built in 1955 with approval from the municipal government.

It was designed to offer conference and exhibition services for important political, economic, science and technology, as well as cultural activities.In 1989, SEC was awarded the title of one of "Shanghai's Ten Best Architectures from 1949 to 1989."

Based on functionalities, SEC is divided into two parts in the south and north. The southern exhibition area consists of Introductory Hall, Central Hall, No.1 East Hall, No. 1 West Hall, and No. 2 West Hall, while the Friendship Hall along with No. 2 East Hall in the north is designated as the conference area.

SEC is an ideal spot for conferences, exhibitions, and large-scale events in Shanghai.

Getting There: Take metro line 7 and get off at Jing'an Temple (静安寺)
