A major match-making meeting for scientific research achievements was successfully sponsored by the government of Shenyang on May 28, according to officials, attracting a large number of active participants.
The matchmaking meeting had the theme: "boosting commercialization of scientific research achievements, pushing forward high-quality development of Shenyang's economy".
Officials said it aimed to help companies solve technical bottlenecks encountered in the research and development process, enhance the independent innovation capabilities and core competitiveness of enterprises, and accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements of colleges and universities.
Around 3,000 representatives from businesses, business incubators, scientific research institutes, universities and financing service agencies attended the meeting.
More than 2,000 enterprises submitted 835 technical requirements through online and offline application channels. These focused on the fields of advanced manufacturing and automation, new materials, biomedicines, electronic information, renewable energy and energy conservation, aerospace technology and high-tech services.
Corresponding to the technical needs of businesses, a total of 45 scientific research institutes and universities in Shenyang submitted 761 scientific research achievements.
Meanwhile, around 30 financing institutes were invited to provide funding services for small-and-medium sized technology enterprises, start-ups and business incubators.

In addition, the "Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Shenyang Technology Contract Subsidy" -- newly-revised by the Shenyang Municipal Science and Technology Bureau -- was officially released on the day.
