North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region held an "Inner Mongolia Taste" Brand Development Summit in Hohhot, the capital of the region, on May 26.
The main purpose of the "Inner Mongolia Taste" brand is to pass on, develop and promote Inner Mongolia's food culture and rich food sources, find and itemize the unique catering and folk cultures of each league and city, and introduce a series of delicacies to domestic and foreign tourists, so as to promote the high-quality development of the region's tourism.
Over 200 leading figures in related industries from Beijing and the region, as well as representatives of "Inner Mongolia Taste" licensed restaurants and the media attended the summit.
At the summit, Wei Zhiguo, deputy director of the Inner Mongolia Culture and Tourism Department, said the region attached great importance to the development of tourism, wanted to vigorously develop holistic tourism and four seasons tourism, and was striving to create the tourism brand "Beautiful Inner Mongolia".
Wei added that the successful development of the "Inner Mongolia Taste" brand was an important measure to implement the integration of culture and tourism, and would play a positive role in promoting the brand building of the region.
The establishment of the "Inner Mongolia Taste" Alliance took place at the summit. Officials said that the alliance would further promote the development and promotion of the brand.
