Ten Wuxi cultural enterprises took part in the 2019 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing from May 28 to June 1.
As the only cultural export base in East China's Jiangsu province, Wuxi displayed Yixing purple clay works, Meicun's erhu (a bowed two-stringed instrument), Huishan clay figurines and other local cultural products.
Wuxi is a great city for cultural trade, owning over 8,600 cultural industry corporate units and having witnessed rapid growth in 2018 in the film and animation, digital industry, information network, industrial design and tourism sectors.
Wuxi Studios, Wuxi National Software Park, Yixing Dingshu Ceramic Industrial Park and other cultural trade platforms also promoted themselves at a meeting during the expo.
The five-day event contains an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters across one main venue and 10 parallel venues. More than 170 forums and trade negotiations are scheduled for this year's fair.
As the world's first State-level, international, comprehensive fair for trade in services, the events aims to establish a global influence and lead the innovative development of domestic and global trade in services.
