The I Music Festival (IMF) commenced at Fantawild Dreamland in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on May 25.
The two-day festival attracted about 40,000 electronic music fans from home and abroad.
According to Ma Le, founder and CEO of Starry Asia Entertainment (SAE), the sponsor of the festival, the company will hold two large-scale music festivals and a cultural forum in Xiamen every year for the next three years.
"We want to make the IMF into a trademark of Xiamen," said Ma.
SAE not only invited international top DJs, but also created an elaborate stage which cost nearly 10 million yuan ($1.45 million) for the festival.
The design of the 84-meter wide, 36-meter high stage was inspired by egret, the city bird of Xiamen. It is equipped with a large HD electronic screen and countless lighting equipment.
