The International Medical Innovation and Cooperation Forum (China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization) came to a conclusion in Fangchenggang, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on May 28.
More than 1,000 government officials, specialists, and scholars in medical institutes from 21 countries such as member states, observer states, dialogue partners, and the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as the Philippines, Thailand, and Ukraine participated in related activities.
It was the first forum on the topic held by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Wide discussions were carried out, centering on building a platform integrating medical innovation with cooperation sharing under the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. It helped promote international medical cooperation, advance efficient exchanges of medical resources, enhance the quality of medical care, and develop low-cost high-order healthcare services.
The forum released the Fangchenggang Proclamation and arranged cooperation intention agreement signing ceremonies for global enterprises, which helped complement each other's advantages, promoted alliances between giants, and accelerated the formation of new growth points of the open economy in all of the participating countries.
Shen Yueyue, vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and president of the Committee on Good-neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, met with international representatives at the forum. They exchanged opinions on promoting the spirit of Shanghai and on strengthening communication and cooperation in the medical and health sectors.
The forum was jointly sponsored by the Committee on Good-neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Government.
