SAS, the America-based, world-leading multinational developer of analytics software, signed an agreement to build its biomedical digital industrial base in Wuxi National Hi-tech District on May 24.
The industrial base will build a SaaS biomedical big data cloud analysis platform, the first cloud analysis platform built by SAS in China. The first phase will accommodate 50 online CROs, pharmaceutical companies and research institutions. It is expected be used for 100 pharmaceutical and CRO companies in three years, and exceed 200 biomedical enterprises within five years.
Founded in 1976, SAS is experienced in analytics innovation. It owns branches in 58 countries and regions around the world.

Wuxi Mayor Huang Qin attended the signing ceremony and said that Wuxi is promoting the development of emerging industries, including information technology, biomedicine, smart manufacturing and new energy, which will help provide a great business environment for SAS's new project.
"Wuxi is glad to be cooperating with the SAS Institute to jointly establish a biomedical digital industrial base to promote the localization of big data analysis technology," Huang added.
