The Badaling section of the Great Wall, in Beijing's Yanqing district, will start to sell real-name admission tickets through its online booking system beginning June 1, according to the Badaling office of Yanqing district.
Meanwhile, to relieve the pressure and safety concerns brought by huge crowds, the Badaling Great Wall will begin to limit daily visitor to 65,000 on June 1. The number of visitors has been scientifically verified as the best capacity of a scenic spot in accordance with guidelines released by the China National Tourism Administration.
Individual and group tourists can purchase admission tickets seven days in advance with a valid ID or passport; one certificate can only reserve one ticket a day.
Online ticket booking is available on the site's official website, www.badaling.cn or at ticket.badaling.cn. Visitors also can follow the official WeChat account of the Badaling Great Wall for more ticket information.
Local tourists can access the Great Wall with their ID cards. Foreign tourists also can redeem printed electronic tickets at the comprehensive service window near the gate with the online reservation certificate and enter the Great Wall with the printed ticket.
As a world cultural heritage and a National 5A Level Scenic Spot, Badaling Great Wall received more than 9.9 million visitors in 2018.
