A bonded warehouse for aviation fuel started operating at the Shenyang Taoxian International Airport on May 26, making Shenyang Taoxian the first airport in Northeast China to contain such a warehouse.
The bonded warehouse, operated by China Aviation Fuel Group Limited, includes two aviation fuel storage tanks that can store up to 5,000 cubic meters of fuel each.
The warehouse will save airlines more than 10 percent on fuel costs if they choose to fuel up there.
Shenyang offers 19 international flights to 19 different destinations.
In 2018, a total of 54,000 tons of aviation fuel was used for international flights at the Shenyang airport.
