Investment summit to promote film industry in Wuxi

The 2019 Film and Television Industry Investment Summit was scheduled to be held at Wuxi Studios in Wuxi city, Jiangsu province, from May 30 to 31, local government announced at a press conference on May 27.

It is the third time for the city to host the summit which aims to attract investment for film and television industries in Wuxi and discuss how to boost the development of the industries through consultations with related parties.

The two-day summit will hold events including one opening ceremony, roundtable dialogues, industry forums and a film night.

The previous two summits have attracted funds worth nearly 10 billion yuan ($1.61 billion) and more than 50 enterprises to Wuxi Studios.

Located in Binhu district, Wuxi Studios features cutting-edge film technologies and is on its way to becoming an international digital film base, with the title "Huallywood" -- China's Hollywood.
