A video showcasing beautiful Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has recently been on display at Beijing metro stations, local media reported.
The short video consists of 10 photos printed with Quzhou's city brand “Home of Southern Confucianism and A Model City of Courtesy”.
These photos showcase the most iconic scenic spots in the city, including Xin'an Lake, the ancient Shuiting Gate Street, and the Temple of Southern Confucianism.
Video screens at the metro stations and in the subway cars of subway line four, 14 and 16 as well as the Daxing subway line are expected to play the video 36 times throughout the day to more than seven million viewers.
Quzhou has been ramping up efforts to promote its brand new city brand since last year.
In addition to city brand press conferences held in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen last year, Grandpa Nankong, a Q-version cartoon image of Confucius, hit the Nasdaq screen in Times Square in New York on Feb 4, the Lunar New Year's Eve, and passenger planes, high-speed trains and buses painted with Grandpa Nankong and the city's mascot happy deer were launched this year.
