Guizhou to further big data strategy

Sun Zhigang, secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, stressed the significance of promoting the integration of big data with the real economy, rural revitalization, livelihood service, and social governance during an inspection in Guiyang on May 20.

Led by Sun, the delegation of the Guizhou government visited the Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center to learn more about big data development, the construction of online government services, and the organization of the 2019 Big Data Expo, which will run from May 26 to 29.

The delegation also visited the joint innovation lab of China Unicom and Flexbot, a smart technology company, to experience the application of 5G technology in fire control, municipal administration, school administration, and autonomous driving.

Sun encouraged companies to capture opportunities in the 5G era, develop more products and technologies based on 5G, strengthen R&D efforts, promote technology conversion, and boost the industrialization process.

Sun also stressed that Guizhou should take big data development as one of its priorities by strengthening supports for big data companies, high-tech enterprises, talent attraction efforts, and data security.
