The Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province, ranked second in the "2019 Top 30 Chinese Chemical Parks" list announced at the 2019 China Chemical Industry and Chemical Park Forum in Huizhou, Guangdong province on May 23.
It is the third consecutive year that the park has made the top three.

Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone has been sticking to an environmentally-friendly development strategy in recent years. It ranked first among Zhejiang's national industrial parks in terms of intensive land use last year, and is one of the first parks in Ningbo to eliminate the direct disposal of waste water.

The zone now houses one company with an annual output of 100 billion yuan, two with 10 billion yuan and 13 with 1 billion yuan.
The zone received foreign direct investment of $152 million in January, surpassing its total target amount for the entire year. It plans to introduce more major industrial projects to boost its chemical industrial chain.
