With investment of a total of 200 million yuan ($28.92 million), the Australian Dongbei Chinese Association officially established its headquarters in Shenfu new area in Northeast China's Liaoning province on May 18.
Shenfu new area is a development area bordering both Shenyang and Fushun in Liaoning province.
Jiang Zhaoqing, the association's president, and Yu Yangfu, vice director of the area's management committee, attended the signing ceremony.
The Australian Dongbei Chinese Association is a community organization registered in Australia with members from a huge array of industries and fields. It is aimed at improving relations among members and promoting Australia-China international cooperation. It also contributes to Northeast China's economic, cultural, scientific, and technological development.
The establishment of the association's headquarters conforms to Shenfu new area's development trajectory.
The headquarters economy is a leading industry in the area, which is committed to becoming Northeast China's main headquarters cluster.
The area plans to offer its full support to the construction of the new headquarters.
