The Zhejiang Wanyang Crowd Innovation Town started construction in Changshan, a county in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on May 22.

The town is a smart city of green technology industry jointly built by Wenzhou-based Vanyang Group and Changshan county government.

With an investment of 5 billion yuan ($723.22 million), the innovation town covers an area of 930 mu (62 hectares) and is expected to introduce 200 to 300 small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.

These enterprises are involved in the fields of mechanical engineering, bearing and new materials, which will be capable of offering roughly 10,000 jobs.

The whole project will be completed in six years and it is constructed in two phases.

The first phase which is currently under construction includes two customized intelligent factories and can be put into service in 13 months.

After the whole project is placed into operation, the annual output value of the crowd innovation town will reach 5 billion yuan.

Covering an area of 930 mu (62 hectares), the innovation town is expected to introduce 200 to 300 small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises after entirely being put into operation. [Photo/WeChat account: quzhoufb]
