Stars come out to record 'Sunshine of Love'

A charity song focusing on the lives of disabled people was being promoted in Beijing on May 8.

Altogether, 111 stars gathered over the course of one and a half months to record the song, Sunshine of Love, in Beijing and Hong Kong, among other places.

According to Guo Feng, composer of the song, the song focuses on the lives of disabled people, helping them to express their hope for the future and encouraging them to create better lives through optimism.

Guo is also the composer of Fill the World with Love, another charity song which was popular in China in the 1980s and 1990s. He says the new song shares a positive theme with its predecessor.

"With the beautiful melody, I believe the spread of this song will promote an understanding of the lives of disabled people in society," says Guo Liqun, a publicity official with the China Disabled Persons' Federation.
