Spain's multiple award-winning Kebyart Ensemble Saxophone Quartet will make its China debut at a concert in Beijing this weekend.
The setlist for the feast of chamber music on Sunday will include classical pieces, such as Austrian composer Joseph Haydn's Quartet Op. 20 No. 5, F minor, Georg Friedrich Haas's Saxophone Quartet and French composer Jean Francaix's 1935 music piece Petit Quatuor pour Saxophones (Little Quartet for Saxophone Quartet), as well as Spanish composer Manuel de Falla's Danza del molinero (The Miller's Dance) from the ballet, El Sombrero de Tres Picos (The Three-Pointed Hat).
The Kebyart Ensemble was established in Barcelona in 2014. Consisting of four young musicians born after the 1990s, the ensemble has been awarded many prizes, such as the Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition and BBVA Music Prize - Montserrat Alavedra.
