Top South Korean univ to work with SXU

A delegation from one of South Korea's leading institutes for advances learning, Jeonju University, visited Shanxi University on May 15 and agreed on exploring ways to establish joint programs.

Zhou Xiaoji, vice-president of SXU, welcomed the delegation on behalf of the university and briefed it on its methods of teaching and initiatives in international cooperation and communications.

Zhou said he hoped that both sides could explore effective ways to work together with short-term student exchange visits, joint development of undergraduate and postgraduate curricula and with tech research.

The delegation from South Korea visited Shanxi University's history museum and Yao Dianzhong Arts Museum and, impressed with what they saw, expressed a desire to work together.

Founded in 1964, Jeonju University is one of top private comprehensive universities in South Korea which offers qualifications in education, culture, tourism service and other disciplines. The university has 68 master's and 26 doctoral programs.
