Shiyan Economic and Technological Development Zone

Shiyan Economic and Technological Development Zone was founded in August 1991. It was upgraded to a national-level economic development zone in 2012. The zone is an important automobile and auto parts production base in China. It is among China's top 10 development zones powered by technological innovations.

The zone consists of the Shiyan Economic Industrial Park, the Dongcheng Industrial Park and the Xicheng Industrial Park, with a planned area of 37 sq km.

The development zone enjoys convenient transportation, complete infrastructure and supporting facilities and good production and living environment. It is linked to the other parts of the country via a number of highways, railways and the Wudang Mountain airport.

Based on the well-developed automobile industry of Shiyan city, the zone has formed a complete automobile-related industrial chain covering vehicle, auto parts, equipment manufacturing and modern logistics industries. There are dozens of automobile companies that can produce various types of vehicles.
