The fifth Inner Mongolia Internet Plus College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition officially began on May 14 with a launch ceremony held at Baotou Teachers’ College, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.
The Internet Plus is the government’s strategy to integrate the mobile internet, cloud computing and big data with traditional industries.
The competition aims to speed up the development of innovative and entrepreneurial talent, was well as to continue to stimulate students' enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship, showcase the achievements of innovation and entrepreneurship in education, and build a platform for connecting college students' innovative and entrepreneurial projects with social resources.
The competition mainly focuses on the areas of the Internet Plus in modern agriculture, the Internet Plus in manufacturing, the Internet Plus in information technology services, the Internet Plus in cultural and creative services, and the Internet Plus in social services.
It reflects the integration of next-generation information technology – including the mobile internet, cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and next-generation communications technology with various fields in the economy and society.
