Overseas Chinese discuss investment, innovation in Sanya

The 2019 Conference on Overseas Chinese Investment, Innovation and Pioneering will be held at Sanya Bay Mangrove Tree Resort Hotel Conference Center in Sanya, Hainan province from May 30 to June 2.

Co-sponsored by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and the people's government of Sanya, the conference will gather more than 800 overseas Chinese and business elites to sit together for a discussion about development.

The event will set up a main forum, eight sub-forums, and a road show for science and technology innovation projects. The opening ceremony of the conference and the main forum will begin on the morning of May 31. Four sub-forums, such as the World Maritime Commerce (Sanya) High-end Forum, will be held subsequently.

In addition, participants will be organized to visit the main industrial parks in Sanya. Through interactive events such as auctions of new materials and new energy products, the conference aims to entice talents and projects in science and technology innovation fields at home and abroad, particularly in the countries along the Belt and Road, to conduct negotiations with Sanya enterprises and investment institutions.

Chen Zhengguang, member of the standing committee of the CPC Sanya municipal committee and chief of Sanya's united front work department, said that the conference will closely follow the theme of "Gathering Overseas Chinese and Sharing Opportunities" and will help the "Great Sanya Economic Circle" to integrate into the national strategy, create a big platform for investment cooperation, and promote innovation and entrepreneurship. The purpose is to create a strong atmosphere for innovation and development in Sanya, as well as bring more elements and energy to its development.

In recent years, Sanya's government has been committed to improving the city's investment environment and services. It has made full effort to create a good atmosphere of inviting investment and supporting business.

An official of the commercial department of Sanya said that the conference will adhere to the spirit of innovation, strengthen effectiveness, and strive to create a professional service platform for service assurance.
