During the Conference on Dialogue of Asia Civilizations (CDAC), which is being held in Beijing from May 15 to 22, performers from Guizhou's Miao and Dong ethnic groups brought traditional dance and songs to the Asia Civilization Parade.
The Grand Song of the Dong ethnic group from Liping county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, is listed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage due to its unique performance form.
It requires no conductor or musical accompaniment and can be performed by hundreds of thousands of people.
