The 8th China (Shenyang) International Modern Architecture Expo, which showcased the latest developments in Liaoning province's industrial chain, was held in Shenyang, capital of the northeastern Chinese province, from May 17 to 19.
Sponsored by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, this year's three-day expo had the slogan "regional cooperation, innovative development". It highlighted innovative and advanced architectural technology and products.
A total of seven exhibition areas displayed the latest construction machinery equipment, smart home and smart parking products, environmentally-friendly building materials, VR virtual technology, and BIM (building information modeling) technology applications and services.
There were around 980 booths with a total exhibition area of 50,000 square meters. Around 200 enterprises from home and abroad participated.
The expo has been held eight times since it first started in 2012. It has played an important role in promoting architectural development in Liaoning and expanding the province's influence nationwide.
An exhibition on the development achievements of 14 cities in Liaoning since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago was also held over the three-day period, focusing on things like urban landscape development, infrastructure, road networks, garbage classification, the renovation of shantytowns and old residential areas, and the use of underground spaces.
