Around 3,000 people took part in the 2019 "Discover Wuxi" orienteering challenge on May 18.
Participants worked in teams to complete missions along a designated route. A total of five routes, including a competitive route and a parent-child route, were offered this year.

Along with walking and running, participants were permitted to travel via public transportation (buses, the metro and shared bicycles) to promote a healthy and low-carbon lifestyle.
"This is my first time participating in an orienteering challenge, but I have taken part in many outdoor activities in the past, like walking challenges. I think it's a really good opportunity for us to appreciate Wuxi's scenery and stay fit," said a 64-year-old participant.
