Shenyang airport installs travel permit endorsement machines

The Exit and Entry Administration of the Liaoning Public Security Department installed two travel permit endorsement machines at the Shenyang Taoxian International Airport on May 13, making it the first airport in Northeast China to provide self-service travel permit renewal services.

The travel permits allow people to travel to and from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. 

The service is targeted at individuals who have a valid residence permit in Shenyang. It takes Shenyang residents less than 3 minutes to renew their electronic travel permit cards at the automatic machines.

However, passengers who hold a residence permit for another city in Liaoning province can only use the machines to apply for tour group travel permits for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
