A press conference held by Inner Mongolia autonomous region's government information office in Hohhot, capital of the region, announced on May 15 that tenders for a new high performance computing public (HPC) service platform had been issued globally.
According to the local authorities, the total investment for the HPC project is 300 million yuan ($43.64 million).
After the completion of the project, the high performance computer facility will be able to coordinate and meet the region's growing needs in artificial intelligence capabilities, as well as for statistical learning and scientific computing.
